If you need the longitude and latitude co-ordinates of a location, just enter an address, postcode or town in the box below. The co-ordinates and a map will be displayed when you click "GeoCode It".

Geo-coding can be useful if you need to enter longitude and latitude co-ordinates into a GPS navigation system, geo-tag a photograph or document, or to create a map for your website. Photo-sharing sites such as Flickr now enable you to geo-tag photographs so they can be displayed on a map. You can even geo-tag your web site or RSS feed if the information is relevant to a specific location.

At the moment, Vectorbase is an absolute bare bones web site. Throughout July I'll be adding a range of features - including the ability to create a map for your web site - each week so come back regularly and watch it develop.
